Back on track?

So this blog orginally started off as a running blog for me, david, and eddie with a goal for each of us to break a 6-minute mile. Obiously we've been distracted from completing that goal. While I have still been doing cardio since I started work, I have hardly made an effort to improve my mile time or my 3-mile time. Before I started work, I peaked at a 6:30 mile and a 21:30 three-miler. About two weeks ago, I decided to bring a stop watch along with me to the UCLA track and give it a shot. After nearly 6 months of working life, and 10lbs of added weight, I clocked a 6:48 mile, and now that sub-6-minute mile looks even more daunting.

So this is it. I'm gonna try to get back on track with our original goal. Maybe every couple of weeks I'll try clocking my mile. Who's with me?

FIIINE.

I wonder if we could even run it sub six if we split the mile up. Say, 1 person per lap? That'd be pretty sad if we couldn't.
